For years, we had enormous quantities of plastic super market bags filling up cabinet space in our house. A while back, we started bringing our own canvas bags to the store instead. Now we have very few plastic bags. Maybe all that doesn't sound like much—I certainly wish I was doing more to help the environment—but those are a few of the relatively painless things we do around our house. I am still drinking from those same six bottles. Once in a while I stick them in the dishwasher, then fill them again from the tap.
