With the focussed monochromatic beam used at that time on the wiggler line of the SRS the intensity level was 103 higher than a rotating anode source. The 35 minute data collection time referred to above involved about 10 mins exposure time and 25 minutes of film cassette changes and represents a reflection measuring rate from the crystals during exposure o f approximately 200 per second. Improvements currently underway at the SRS will reduce data collection times to a few minutes in total. Full White Beam Laue Data Collection Another approach to these experiments is also being followed, which involves the use of the full white beam from the SRS wiggler.
